Color study. I am a lover of pastel paintings, and pastels are my favorite medium to use as well. So when I spotted this Artist Proof print of a stunning pastel painting by William Pettee, I fell in love with his style. William Pettee is an artist in Camden, Maine, who exhibited quite a bit in my neck of the woods – in Mystic, along the Connecticut Coastline. He works in pastels, capturing the light in New England places. Here, he’s done just that with his impression of Madaket on Nantucket. Just so beautiful.
