Magical Majolica. This gorgeous, and quite substantial in weight, Majolica pitcher is a vintage piece made by Bordalo Pinheiro, Portugal. Caldas da Rainha, just north Lisbon, is a center of Portuguese pottery due to the abundance of clay deposits and its wonderful pottery. Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, in 1884 opened a factory that made the town famous. It’s rich leaf design set in a Chalky white glazed ground makes the pitcher that much more beautiful.
