German Cross-Stitch Vintage Pillow

A fabulous Brimfield find! This pillowcase caught my eye right away. I love the handcrafted, hand embroidered motif created with autumnal brown colored yarns and needlework set on a neutral linen ground fabric. A sweet scalloped crocheted trim completes it. The dealer told me that the pillow was made in Germany in the 1960’s. I added a feather down pillow insert, and a dear friend’s mom sewed new snaps onto the pillows opening. Many hands went into making this pillow just right.
