Garden Trellis Collected Platters

More Majolica love! I found these 2 pieces at one of my favorite CT Antiques Centers, each piece in a different dealers space. It is so rare to find coordinating pieces, that I have to offer them together. They really do look absolutely fabulous and have so much presence grouped together. Same trellis and garland of leaves design – but 2 very different shapes and sizes. The footed platter brings dimension to the table, while the large rectangular form is quite large in scale. The rich Grass Green glaze shows off the lovely trellis and leaf garland raised designs. Just so beautiful. Both pieces were made by Bordallo Pinheiro, Portugal (est. 1884).
