I love the simplicity of a Roman shade. I rely on this kind of a window treatment to filter light, add privacy, and “finish” a window. Roman shades are most often very straight and structured when they’re drawn up, or “stacked”.  But when the center of it is softened, by letting it gently swag in the middle, this is what I call a soft-bellied Roman Shade. It’s the perfect fabric shade. A subtle window treatment that’s there, but doesn’t overpower the window. Simple elegance at its best.
