My Connecticut Country House is a house for all seasons—quite simply because we keep in time with the rhythm of the seasons. It’s a good way to live. Harvest gives us a good reason to celebrate and decorate with what’s in season now. A great big bowl, basket, and platter filled with just picked apples is absolutely perfect for decorating throughout the house, as well as outdoor picnics.

It’s simple. Sticking with one variety of apple, I look for different colorful shades, as well as leafy stems (if I’m lucky enough to find a few!). This humblest of fall fruit can be the most visually impactful of them all.

Happy decorating (and snacking)!

Love, Nora

Beautiful pictures – love the house – have not see your magazine – is it on the stands now?

You keep the rest of us in step with the seasons as well.
    Nothing better than “nature”.
    To everything there is a season .. . . . . . .
Wish your pics were LARGER. They are too beautiful for this small screen size.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Nora,
Have you ever given any thought to making note cards from your lovely photos? I am sure they would be very popular with your readers.

Hi Linda! Thanks very much for your suggestion! I have considered it, but didn’t take it further than that! Do you believe there’s a good market for this? And what kind of photos would you like to see? Would love your thoughts…..Thanks again! Love, Nora
