It’s the night before Christmas, and on the old stonewall in front of the house, not a creature was stirring – just the twinkling of twenty-six candle filled mason jars.

Christmas Eve Candles for Sandy Hook

When: Monday, December 24th at 5:00 P.M.

Where: Your home

Please join me in lighting a candle tomorrow night, Christmas Eve, for the victims and their families of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, and place at the end of your driveway, your steps, your window – or even a stonewall, and let it burn throughout Christmas Eve into Christmas morning.  A battery-operated candle will work too.

Wherever you are in this world, please share this with your family and friends, and participate. Your thoughts and prayers are so very much needed and deeply appreciated.  Thank you.

Silent Night  – Words by Joseph Mohr, Music by Franz Gruber

Silent night, holy night,

All is calm, all is bright

Round yon Virgin mother and child,

Holy infant so tender and mild,

Sleep in heavenly peace,

Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night,

Shepherds quake at the sight;

Glories stream from heaven afar,

Heav’nly hosts sing Alleluia;

Christ, the Savior, is born,

Christ, the Savior, is born.

Silent night, holy night,

Son of God, love’s pure light

Radiant beams from the holy face,

With the dawn of redeeming grace,

Jesus, Lord, at thy birth,

Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas filled with lots of love.

Love, Nora
