This morning starts with a word association game.  Here goes:

When I think of Christopher Columbus, I think of Italy.

When I think of Italy, I think of fabulous food.

When I think of fabulous food, I think of the ambiance.

When I think of the ambiance, I think of soft candlelight and richly colored roses.

And when I think of richly colored roses, I think of a gorgeous red roses.

Which leads me back to Cristofo Colombo (my molto piccolo Italiano), who may just have been a true romantic at heart.

Now I realize that gorgeous red roses are the usual fare for February the 14th, but I think it’s the perfect bouquet for today, October the 8th!  Bringing inside a little bit of rich red color that you can buy at your local market – at a molto piccolo price – is always a good idea!  Wishing you a beautiful Columbus Day.

“The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust (1871-1922)

Love, Nora
